Tipsy Tumbler Quilt

This quilt pattern is called the Tipsy Tumbler and its from Jenny Doan at The Missouri Star Quilt Company.

I don't have the template required to make this block so I made one from cardboard and used it to trace around and then cutting with a rotary cutter and ruler.

I made the tumblers and sashings in white so that in can be used as signature quilt for a wedding or an engagement or perhaps even a graduation gift .

I have it for sale on Gumtree if anyone is interested.
Gumtree is an Australian online classifieds and community website.

A quilt for a friend

My friend Angie asked me to make her a quilt for her king single bed, she purchased the beautiful rose fabric and then gave me free reign to chose contrasting fabric and the quilt pattern.
I needed to come up with a quilt block that didn't involve cutting the rose fabric too small, so started by cutting the roses at 8½ inches square and working my pattern from there.

Here it is on our queen sized bed with a matching cushion.

The backing fabric has light tan roses on a cream background.

Here it is on Angie's own bed.

Friends

The group I belong to Penny Flowers Craft and Chat
had a card swap with a friendship Theme,
the criteria was, make a card with something that points to the meaning of FRIENDSHIP..

This is the card I made for my swap partner... good friends are like a comfy pair of PJ'S.

The stamp is Art Impressions "Girlfriends" which I coloured with copics.

The dies I used are the:
Poppy Stamps - Grand Madison French Doors
Marianne Creatables - Chair and Lamp
Cheery Lynn - Flourish leaf strip
Impression Obsession - Tiny Flowers
Impression Obsession - Layered Floral set
Memory Box - Typewriter - Uppercase.

Downton Abbey

Here are some Downton Abbey cards I designed for Fat Cats Card Corner.
The dies are Crafters Companion and I'll list the dies used below each card.

Sue Wilson Swiss Background
and the Delicate Hearts embossing folder.
the leaves are Sue Wilson Laurel Leaves, flowers made with the Sue Wilson Petite Peony cluster Die

Only one die used for this card and that is the Sue Wilson Swiss Background, a beautiful die set.
A bit of lavender flowersoft and a piece of ribbon to finish.

I cut an aperture from the plum coloured card and then embossed it with the Downtown Abbey embossing folder. The flower display I made with the Impression Obsession bouquet set.

This time I have heat embossed the Thistle EF with gold embossing powder onto green card and cut it into three sections.
Image I used is one from the Downton Abbey Die-cut Toppers A4 set of 2 sheets

Downton Abbey Classical Edge Die
Downton Abbey Thistle embossing folder.
Cottage Cutz 3D Flower 4
Sue Wilson Orange Blossom Leaves

After cutting the Classical Edge Downton Abbey dies.
I stamped the Teapot and cup and saucer set from the Time for Tea Downton Abbey Stamp set into position and heat embossed them with gold, I then added glossy accents to them I also used a couple of pieces from the Downton Abbey Die-cut Toppers A4 set of 2 sheets and I hand cut a few embossed thistles from the Downton Abbey Thistle embossing folder.

A Baby and a Droid (Card)

I had a request for a baby card, sex of baby not known, which makes it difficult to come up with a colour scheme to use, the last one I did for the same lady I did in lemon so my choice this time was lavender.
I used a Nellie Snellen pontura card from which I cut the front and layered it onto the lavender card, white, lavender and finally the white card base.
The welcome banner is a Joy Crafts Die, the little flowers are from the mini EK Success Retro Flower Punch.

The next card request was for either a Star Wars or Ninja theme, I went for Star Wars and found an R2D2 colouring image on the internet which I coloured with my copics, I added some balloons cut with a free die that came with a craft magazine, the background is the Couture Creations Entangle embossing folder.
